Based on Moggach's best-seller These Foolish Things, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel was released in 2011, starring Judi Dench, Celia Imrie, Bill Nighy, Ronald Pickup, Maggie Smith, Tom Wilkinson, and Penelope Wilton. An instant success, it was one of the top-selling British films of the year and birthed a sequel, The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.

Excellent performance
